Reishi Mushroom Chili- for Super Bowl Sunday!!!!

Modified from: Host Defense® Reishi Chili
What you’ll need:
3 lbs Ground meat – (Turkey, Lamb, Pork, Beef, Mix N Match)
1 16 oz can Low Sodium Broth – Beef broth, bone broth, chicken broth, vegetable broth
1 14.5 oz can diced Tomatoes – preferably Organic
1 Jar of your favorite Salsa – or make your own (jalapeno, tomato, onion, garlic, lemon, spices, cilantro)
1 small Onion, diced (optional)
2 Jalapeños, diced (OMIT if you prefer a milder chili)
2 Bell Peppers – green, orange, red, yellow, preferably Organic
2 16 oz can Pinto Beans – EDEN Foods, Organic
1 16 oz can Black Beans – EDEN Foods, Organic
4 Tbs Host Defense® Reishi Powder – YAO Clinic/Herbal Apothecary – carries the Host Defense Line of Mushroom Products!
2 Tbs Avocado Oil (can substitute with oil of choice)
3 Tbs Chili Powder
1 Tbs Paprika
1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 Tsp Garlic Salt
Ground Black Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Directions:
Bring it all together:
Using a large stock pot, Sautee onions, jalapenos, and bell peppers in oil until the onions become translucent. Add meat and cook thoroughly. Once the meat is cooked, add canned tomatoes, salsa, beans, and broth. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Add seasonings, stir until mixed. Simmer uncovered 45 minutes – 1 hour, stirring occasionally until desired consistency is reached.
Add Reishi powder. Serve to taste with shredded Non-dairy ‘cheese’, Non-dairy soured cream, Organic/Non-GMO tortilla chips – top with chopped spring onions for some colour!
